Vitamin B3 is a water soluble vitamin known as Niacin. This nutrient can be made in the body in small amounts from the amino acid tryptophan.
Here at Forest Whole Food we think being a ‘food detective’ is so important in today’s world. Nutrition facts are fun (for food geeks like us) so we make sure we share as much information as possible.
Because Niacin is a B-group Vitamin it is associated with maintaining energy levels and it works together with the other B Vitamins. Niacin combines with chromium to form the Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF) needed to activate insulin and control blood sugar.
Vitamin B3 (niacin) supports:
- Reduction of Tiredness and Fatigue
- Psychological function
- Normal energy-yielding metabolism
- Functioning of the nervous system
