These squares have a similar texture to macaroons and are naturally sweet from the bananas and tiger nut flour. Ingredients
- 3 Bananas
- 150 g organic chestnut flour
- 2 tbsp organic coconut oil
- 30 g organic tapioca flour
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp organic apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp organic ceylon cinnamon powder
Instructions
- Line a square 8″ bake tin and Pre-heat the oven to 150c
- Mash the banana and add all the other ingredients.
- Combine well and use a food processor for a smoother batter.
- Cook at 150° for 40 minutes, or until brown and firm.
- Allow to cool and then slice into squares.

Would this still come out good without the coconut oil?
Hi there, we suggest swapping the coconut oil for something like butter or cooking margarine. If you were wanting to use a dairy free alternative, then you could try substituting for another oil e.g. olive oil, but this might affect the flavour of the final dish. Please do let us know which you try and how you get on
