Frutteto means ‘orchard’ in Italian as it is in the Tuscan hills near Florence that the jams are produced. Handpicked, fully ripe, organic apricots are sourced mainly from local orchards. Of artisan quality, Frutteto Italia Organic Apricot Jam is gently cooked at low temperature, in small batches to preserve the fresh apricot flavour, vitamins, minerals, fibre content and aroma. Unlike the traditional way of cooking jams and conserves, which can destroy the goodness with harsh heat.
Fresh apricots are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, are high in other antioxidants, most notably flavonoids, potassium and fibre. All the fruit used is certified organic and is rigorously tested to ensure there are no residues of pesticides or of PFAS ‘forever’ chemicals.
Ingredients: Organic 7 apricots, Organic grape juice concentrate, Organic lemon juice, gelling agent: fruit pectin. Made with 100g of apricots per 100g of fruit spread. Contains naturally occurring sugars from fruit only.
