Description
Try a cup of Organic Assam Loose Leaf Tea for the perfect cuppa.
Assam is located near the Brahmaputra River bordering Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar. It is the world’s largest tea producing region. Assam experiences high rainfall and a daytime temperature of up to 36 °C, which creates greenhouse like conditions of extreme humidity and heat. This tropical climate contributes to Assam tea’s unique malty taste, a feature for which this tea is well known.
Our Assam is a Black tea from the Tonganagaon estate in the Assam region of India. Around 6,000 people live on the estate, and 1,400 people work with the tea. Assam is widely drunk in the UK, as it has a popular ‘all round’ flavour and can be enjoyed with or without milk.
