Description

Organic Carob Powder – natural caramelly goodness.

Organic Carob Powder is highly addictive and rich in nutrients – a great combination!  Sprinkle it on your porridge or yoghurt, it will become your go-to topping.

This golden brown powder is perfect added to brownies, homemade chocolates and bars.  It is made from roasted, ground carob pods.  They grow on a tree native to North Africa and Asia.  Although carob is often substituted for cacao it has a very different flavour.  Carob contains no caffeine or theobromine so it makes a good choice for people who avoid caffeine (and for late night snacking!)

Carob has a rich caramelly taste which makes it great for children and adults alike.  If you enjoy experimenting with natural desserts then this is a must for your natural store cupboard.  Try this versatile powder in baking, decadent truffles and smoothies.  Carob contains three times more calcium than cacao and contains no oxalates (compounds which inhibit mineral absorption).

If you have no reason to avoid cacao and love natural treats then take a look at our organic natural cacao powder, organic raw cacao powder or organic cacao nibs.
