Description

Organic Deglet Nour Dates (Pitted) are soft and succulent.

These organic deglet nour dates are sweet and delicious.  They are soft enough to snack on straight from the bag or blend well into a range of healthy recipes. These dates are nutrient rich and packed with fibre so they make a great healthy option for people with a sweet tooth.

This variety of date are classed as ‘semi-soft’, they have firm flesh and are light red to amber in colour.  They are not as soft and squidgy as the coveted medjool dates but are still a popular choice for date lovers.

This variety of organic date have a lovely ‘caramelly’ taste, they are great if you are cutting out refined sugar but still need your sweet fix!

If you want to use your dates for baking you may like to choose our organic aseel dates which are firmer and dryer but once soaked blend well into a pulp and taste great in recipes or blended in nut milks.

We now stock organic date sugar which is produce by drying these dates and grinding them down in to a sugar.

Family Tip:

  1. Deglet Nour Dates are a natural sweetener for lots of recipes and a little goes a long way. They go particularly well in energy balls as their sticky texture binds ground nuts and seeds together. Search for raw desserts and you probably won’t find a recipe that doesn’t call for dates.
  2. Deglet Nour Dates go particularly well with cacao to make delicious raw chocolate smoothies. Using almond or coconut milk as a base can make a highly nutritious chocolate ‘mylk’ with a heavenly texture.
  3. You could try our date cake recipe.
