Description

Organic popcorn kernels are the beginning of something great.

Organic Popcorn kernels are a great way to make your own organic popcorn at home.  This is the best way to make corn as it is organic, homemade and full of goodness.  When you make your own popcorn it is actually a nutritious treat rather than a naughty one.  Popped corn is high in magnesium which helps with the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

It is really easy to make and you can experiment with your own sweet and savoury toppings.  Popping corn yourself at home is a lovely way to get the whole family involved while avoiding microwaves and toppings loaded with sugar and salt.  On the hob in a big fat pan is where all popcorn should be born!

Family Tip:

  1. Simply cover the bottom of a large pan with olive or coconut oil and warm it gently.  Add the salt now if you are using any.  Cover the bottom with one layer of corn kernels and put the lid on.  Keep the pan on a mid-heat until the popping has slowed down significantly.  You can leave it off the heat for a few moments while the last few kernels pop.  Garnish with your favourite toppings.
  2. Both our boys (1 and 3 years) love fresh popcorn warm from the pan and they have great fun helping in the process.  Get the children involved!
  3. Our favourite toppings are apple cider vinegar with sea salt, maple syrup or cajun spice.
