Description

Organic Raw Pistachio Nuts (shelled) are fresh, green and delicious!

Organic Raw Pistachio Nuts (shelled) are a decadent choice of nut and make a perfect snack or a special ingredient.  Pistachios are known as the ‘happy nut’ in China and the ‘smiling nut’ in Iran.

Pistachios have lots to be happy about because one 30g serving is high in Protein, Fibre, Vitamin B6, Copper and a source of Thiamin (B1), Potassium, Phosphorus and Manganese .  Most nuts are shades of brown and cream but the green hue of the pistachio is due to its specific antioxidant content.

Pistachios are one of the oldest flowering nut trees and have a life span of over 150yrs.  Humans have been enjoying pistachios from as early as 7,000 BC and they have always been a treasured species.  They were considered a delicacy among royalty.  Today pistachios are grown around the world including US, Central Asia and the Middle East.

If you want to make your own luxury trail mix why not try adding organic pistachios for a nutrient rich, high energy snack.
