Organic Rye Flakes are a perfect addition to homemade muesli.

Organic Rye Flakes are made from whole rye grains which are steamed and then rolled. Organic Rye grain is closely related to wheat and barley. It is considered ancient because it was first cultivated in 1800 BC.

Many people prefer rye to wheat because its DNA has not been changed by farming methods and it has a more extensive nutritional profile. Rye grain has a deeper, stronger taste than milder tasting wheat. This makes it popular with alternative bakers trying new grain combinations.

These tasty organic rye flakes are a great way to get creative in the kitchen if you like experimenting with whole foods. Baking can be specific art, but if you mix things up and add some to forgiving recipes you can create some great new bakes. We love banana breads and muffins with some of these flakes thrown in for a great new texture and flavour.
